The Birth of a Blog

This past August, I was fortunate to gain employment as Teacher Librarian of West Hills High School. I am also grateful that, in conjunction with my new position, I have had the opportunity to participate in my district's Google Ninja Program. Becoming a Google Ninja involves fulfilling a series of challenges to grow in terms of integrating technology for learning. One such challenge includes creating a new blog, and thus...another new blog is born.

I previously maintained a blog with reflections about management: Moving Train Infrastructure. My inspiration in picking the name was that I was trying to figure out how to implement change and create order, all while an existing framework and set of norms was in place and in motion. As I start in my new position, I similarly find myself making continuous and gradual changes to a well-established program. Thus, I see this new blog as a sister-version to my previous blog, just with a greater focus on school libraries in particular.
